Bare Conductive

Connected Development

An incredibly flexible and powerful ecommerce website with a vastly improved online shopping experience increasing sales and customer loyalty as well as improving user engagement across all areas of the site.

The Client

Bare Conductive, the energetic company behind Bare Paint - the first non-toxic conductive emulsion. The product is for everyone: makers and hobbyists to geeks and engineers.

It encourages experimentation with the possibilities of interactive electricity - to literally bring surfaces to life.

The Brief

Bare Conductive's website is the world's window on the company. Expecting a surge in customer numbers in 2014, its site, live since 2009, needed a reboot - and fast. There was a lot to be done, from improving the site's online shopping experience, to motivating users to share their projects, providing easier access to information, to implementing a more responsive format.

Our Solution

A responsive website with a customised WordPress CMS utilising the latest HTML5 and CSS potential to create an immersive ecommerce solution.

  1. Enriched user experience. The front page pulls in Bare's latest news, constantly updating to show the company's latest activity, products and tutorials.

  2. Incorporates Woo Commerce, the most flexible way to add products to a WordPress build. Products can be added for sale to any page or post, social media, AdWords and affiliate sites.

  3. Inspiring and promoting tutorials. Features a 'make section' to promote its tutorials, and inspiring case studies to incite users to share the stories of their projects.

  4. Dedicated Education section for teaching electronics in a fun, creative way. Tutorials, suitable products for sale, and a dedicated news section make the product and its technology accessible.

Their Response

"We had a brief chat after the meeting and we all agree that your team seems fully capable of meeting the technical requirements of building our site. More importantly, we really felt that you have an understanding of the space that our company operates in, and of the wider context that our site needs to live in."
